Yesterday we hosted a lovely little party at our Duke of York Square store to welcome summer (finally!) and the local ‘Chelsea in Bloom’ celebration. The evening was golden and warm, the bubbly was flowing, and the talented Butterfly Celebrity Stylists were on hand to style customers with Gilda’s Tryst hair accessories. As you can see they looked pretty amazing.

The Prestigious and Glamorous Cannes Film Festival

The 65th Cannes Film Festival is in full swing with its highs and lows, flashing bulbs, divas and drama. Since the film festival was born in 1946, this picturesque coastal town on the French Riviera has been transformed for a week a year. Old Hollywood’s most famous residents have decamped to Cannes for their yearly infusion of sunny Riviera glamour and mingled with fabulous European bombshells, world-class directors and the odd screen Adonis.

So, true to form, we're revisiting vintage photographs from the festival in decades past and mining a few of their gems. Here’s our walk down that glittering memory lane...

Our Covent Garden Store - Host of a Taylor Wessing Party

Our Gilda's Tryst Covent Garden store recently hosted a swinging party for the law firm Taylor Wessing and some of its lovely lady guests.

Everyone enjoyed an evening of decadence with champagne, canapés,  and of course, lots of fun and games with Gilda's Tryst jewellery and accessories.  Nicoll Moss, a wonderfully talented vintage hair stylist, was also on the scene, creating beautiful hair styles, full of the gloss and glamour of bygone eras.

To aid in the indulgences, Gilda's Tryst was offering an exclusive discount on all jewellery and accessories purchased on the night - what more could a girl ask for on a Thursday night?

Our Very First Charity Party

A couple of days ago we hosted our first Charity Party at our Covent Garden store, and what a fantastic first time it turned out to be! Flowing bubbly, delicious canapés, and 30% of all sales of Gilda's Tryst jewellery and accessories donated to STEPS, a small UK charity supporting children and adults with lower limb disorders.

The cause was good and the company great, a truly wonderful evening in all.
